You're invited to join BPA in the Rates Hearing Room or via WebEx for a public workshop to review the calculation of the preliminary Spill Surcharge for FY 2019. 

 

The Spill Surcharge is a formula rate adjustment that approximates the additional amount that customers would have been charged if Bonneville had known the planned spill operations when setting final BP-18 power rates.
BPA is proposing that there will be no Spill Surcharge for FY 2019. The calculated cost of additional spill will be offset through Fish and Wildlife program reductions in FY 2019 compared to those assumed for setting BP-18 rates.  As a result, the preliminary FY 2019 Spill Surcharge amount is $0.

A public comment period on the preliminary FY 2019 Spill Surcharge will be open from April 18 through May 2, 2019. Comments should be uploaded to BPA’s Public Comments page under the FY 2019 Spill Surcharge heading. BPA will issue the final FY 2019 Spill Surcharge by May 16, 2019.
