PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Bonneville Power Administration upgraded the first 17 miles of the Santiam-Bethel transmission line by replacing the existing single-circuit 230-kilovolt (kV) line with a 230-kV double-circuit configuration. The rebuilt line added additional capacity between BPA's Santiam Substation and Portland General Electric's line tap point near Bethel, Oregon.
